Candidate Information

If you don’t know much about the election process, don’t worry! The election committee will be hosting a mandatory information session on Sunday, November 21st at 1:00 PM for those who have signed up. Once you have filled out the nomination form, you will receive an email from the election committee at the latest on Friday, November 19th at 9:00 PM. This email will confirm your candidacy, update you on the information you need to prepare your campaign run and share the zoom link for the candidate information session.

If you have any specific questions about the nomination form or need a question answered before filling it out, please contact the Chief Electoral Officer (for those running for ASFA positions) or the Elections Coordinator (for those running for Member Association positions).

The campaign period is the time when candidates can engage in campaigning activities (i.e. informing voters that you are running, promoting yourself, spreading the word about the upcoming elections, etc). You can only start campaigning once you have received approval from your assigned election supervisor and once the campaign period has begun. The voting period represents the days when ASFA students can vote in the ASFA and Member Association elections. ASFA students will receive a link to vote in the election through their email.
