*Note from the CRO: Melissa Siclait had initially nominated themself for the Finance Coordinator position, however during the nomination period had requested that they run for Independent Councillor instead. This email was not seen before the voting period began at which time the ballots could not be changed. Due to Melissa’s nomination being made before the deadline and the fact that there are a total of 5 open positions for the ASFA independent Councillor role but only two other candidates, the Elections Committee has ruled that Melissa Siclait is elected to the Independent Councillor position. This decision will need to be ratified by the membership at the next ASFA General Assembly, which will be in May 2023.

Referendum - Hive Cafe Loyola Free Lunch Program

Do you agree to increase the Hive Café Loyola Free Lunch Program fee from $0.10 per credit to $0.35 per credit (an increase of $0.25 per credit), in order to cover the expenses related to the implementation of a free breakfast program. This program will operate a minimum of 4 days per week out of the Loyola Hive and offer ‘grab and go’ breakfast options for ASFA members beginning in Fall 2023.

Be it further resolved that this levy be adjusted to the Consumer Price Index of Canada, to be collected from all undergraduate students registered in the faculty of Arts and Science, and to be implemented with registration for the Summer 2023 (2231) term in accordance with the university’s tuition refund and withdrawal policy?
